Fundamentals of educational organization

1. General regulations

1.1 Edutop OÜ is a private school founded by OÜ Business Technologies
1.2 Edutop OÜ provides training for adults
1.3 The Guidelines for Organizing Learning regulates the conditions for organizing Edutop OÜ training and the learning process.
1.4 The Edutop OÜ Guidelines are prepared on the basis of current legislation: in accordance with the Law on Private Schools, the Law on Adult Education and the Training Standard
1.5 The school management is entitled to set additional conditions for the organisation of studies and learning processes, provided that these do not contradict the legislation in force.

2. Admission to instruction

A person who has registered to study and/or signed a contract and paid the tuition fee is considered a student admitted to study.

3. Student status, rights and obligations

3.1 A student is a person admitted to Edutop OÜ.
3.2 Enrollment in training is if:
3.2.1. the student has registered for training
3.2.2. the tuition fee has been paid (cooperation in projects financed by EU funds is subject to project conditions);
3.3 The student may be expelled or withdrawn from the study if:
3.3.1. the student has submitted the appropriate written application;
3.3.2. the student substantially interferes with learning;
3.3.3. the student has not paid the tuition fee;
3.3.4. the student periodically fails to do his or her homework;
3.3.5. the legal representative has submitted an appropriate written statement
3.4 Completion of training is confirmed by a certificate or certificate issued by the school.
3.5 A certificate of attendance is issued at the end of the training if the student has successfully completed the training and has met at least the conditions described in section 12.3 of this document.

A certificate of participation or completion shall be issued if, for any reason, the student did not meet the conditions of section 12.3 during the training, but completed the training in part or in full.

3.6 The student has the right:
3.6.1. to choose the training that suits his or her abilities and interests;
3.6.3. receive information about the organization and curriculum of the school;
3.6.5. terminate the studies at his/her own will before the end of the study period, in which case the tuition fee will not be refunded.
3.7 The student is obliged:
3.7.1. comply with the internal rules of the school and the legislation governing the school;
3.7.2. participate in the learning process;
3.7.3. comply with the terms and conditions of the agreement between the school and the student.

4. Instructor Status, Rights and Responsibilities

4.1 Teachers of Edutop OÜ must have a college or professional degree and/or at least 5 years of experience teaching a similar course or subject.
4.2 The employment relationship with teachers is governed by the Employment Contracts Act, employment law, or the Law of Obligations Act.
4,3. The rights and obligations of teachers are defined in employment contracts or contracts of employment.
4.4 Teachers have the right:
4.4.1. receive information about the organization of studies from the school administration and make their proposals to improve or change the organization of studies;
4.4.2. receive teaching aids required for their work

5. Rights and responsibilities of other employees

Labor relations with other school employees are governed by labor law, and other laws governing employee and employer rights and responsibilities.

6. Language of instruction

Education is provided in Estonian and Russian.

7. Costs of training

7.1 The cost of any course may be paid in advance and in full before the start of training, as well as can be paid in installments throughout the period of training. Payment (first instalment in case of installments) is a confirmation of participation in training.
7.2 The amount of the tuition fee is determined in the agreement between the school and the student.
7.3 By agreement with the student, payment in installments is possible. Payment in installments is made on the basis of an approved schedule with the amounts due and due dates.
7.4 In case of delay in payment, Edutop OÜ has the right to prevent the student from studying.
7.5 Tuition is paid on the basis of an invoice. The invoice must be paid by the due date indicated on the invoice. For late payment, Edutop OÜ shall charge interest at the rate of 0.1% each per day of the delay.
7.6 The student has the right to list the tuition payment to Edutop OÜ on the income tax return as a tuition expense in accordance with Income Tax Law §26.
7.7 No one is exempt from tuition, allowances or study grants. Tuition at a reduced rate is offered if the desired course has been booked for the entire group.

8. Timing and procedure for tuition refunds

8.1 Tuition will be refunded if tuition is cancelled by Edutop OÜ.
8.2 Tuition will be refunded within 3 days of cancellation for the amount of the deposit paid by the student.
8.3 The tuition fee will not be refunded if the student interrupts the training for the reasons specified in section 3.3.
8.4 The tuition fee advance payment will be refunded according to the request submitted by the student if the tuition is rescheduled to a later date.

9. Curriculum

9.1 Training is based on curricula. The curricula are designed so that the student will have the knowledge and skills described in the course syllabus as learning outcomes at the completion of the training.
9.2 The curriculum is the main document of instruction which determines the purpose of instruction, the duration of instruction, the name of the curriculum group, the conditions for commencing instruction, the language of instruction, learning outcomes, methods of assessing learning outcomes, the curriculum (scope of classroom work and independent work), the list of subjects, the total course scope, a brief description of the course program, the names of teachers, conditions of instruction and documents which are issued at the end of instruction.
9.3 The volume of the curriculum is defined in academic hours. One academic hour corresponds to 45 minutes.
9.4 The requirements to the curriculum are established in accordance with the European Professional Standards
9.5 The curriculum is structured as subject modules or as individual subjects / topics.

A module is a group of subjects formed on the basis of the objectives of the curriculum, in exceptional cases as a single subject.

10. Organization of study work

10.1 Learning takes place in the form of contact learning, practical work (practice) and independent work. The proportion of forms of training is determined in the curriculum.
10.2.Contact learning is the process of achieving learning outcomes in the learning environment, including e-learning. in the form of a lecture or individual study. Contact learning involves both the student and the instructor
10.3 Practical work occurs when learners simulate their daily work in a work environment, produce documents, or perform other practical tasks that they will perform in the workplace in the future.
10.4 Independent work is the acquisition of knowledge and skills necessary to achieve learning outcomes independently according to assignments given by the instructor.

11. Scheduling the training work

11.1 You can register for training using the following options:

11.2 The training is conducted during the year in the volume specified in the curriculum. or on the basis of an approved individual plan.
11.3 Teaching takes place as follows: as individual study; in mini groups (2-4 people) or as a group (5 or more people). The minimum group size is determined by Edutop OÜ depending on the course chosen by the student.
11.4 As an exception, Edutop OÜ has the right to change the training schedule if the teacher is ill, is on a business trip, cannot teach for other valid reasons, or if the teacher lives and works in another country (is not an Estonian citizen).
In the above circumstances, Edutop OÜ will replace the teacher if it is possible in this case.

12. Completion of the curriculum

12.1 Completion of the curriculum means the completion of the subjects prescribed in the curriculum to the extent prescribed in the curriculum.
12.2 A course is completed upon completion of the curriculum by issuing the relevant certificate or certificate of completion.
12.3 For successful completion, the student must participate in at least 80% of the classes and, in addition, complete at least 80% of the homework and independent work.
12.4. A certificate of completion is issued if the student has successfully completed the course and has met the conditions described in section 12.3 of this document.
12.5 The certificate of course completion is issued if the student has attended less than 80% of the classes, he/she has completed less than 80% of homework and independent work.The certificate of course completion contains the student’s personal and school data, learning outcomes (the knowledge and practical skills that the student has acquired as a result of the training) , scope of the curriculum, period of study, data on the license and registration in the Register of Business Activities, and a list of teachers.

12.6 At the end of training the learner fills out a questionnaire-questionnaire about the passed course.

13. Evaluation of learning outcomes

13.1 Assessment of the knowledge and skills of the student takes place on the basis of learning outcomes.
13.2 A course is considered passed after receiving a positive result in the assessment of learning outcomes.

A positive result is “counted”, a negative result is “not counted”
