The course program of Travel Consultant Courses is based on the professional standard “Travel Consultant” of the European classifier of professions ESCO (European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations)

Teaching methodology

The training consists of lectures that are held online in ZOOM. For the demonstration of the practical work are used video materials.

Educational materials. Travel Consultant Courses

Each student receives learning materials in PDF Format. The student receives the learning materials after paying for the tuition and crediting the payment to the current account of the education centre. After receiving the payment, the education centre provides the student with access to the personal account. The student’s learning materials are located in the personal account. Video materials are sent in the appropriate video format. The cost of training materials is included in the course price.

Description of the learning environment

Training is conducted online via ZOOM.

Conditions of graduation

The course is considered as completed, after the student has passed all the subjects prescribed in the curriculum, in the amount provided by the curriculum. The exam is conducted in the form of an examination test according to the course program. The exam is counted as passed if the student has completed at least 60% of all tasks of the test. At the end of the course, the student receives a certificate of completion or certificate of attendance of the course.

Documents the student receives

A certificate of completion of the course is issued if the student has attended at least 70% of the classes, completed at least 70% of the homework and independent work and/or passed the course exam. If a student attended less than 70% of classes, completed less than 70% of homework and/or did not pass the course exam, then upon completion of the course he will be issued a certificate of attendance of the course.

The certificate of completion of the course contains the student’s personal data and school data, learning outcomes (knowledge and practical skills that the student has acquired as a result of the training), the scope of the curriculum, the period of study, a list of teachers.

Both certificates are issued in English.

As a result of the course, the student can provide advice on tours to customers of the travel company, choose a tour at the request of the client, draw up the necessary documents, organize and manage the client base.

Those wishing to attend travel consultant courses must have at least a secondary education and be 18 years of age or older.

In the learning process, the student acquires the following knowledge and practical skills:

  • serves the client in accordance with ethical, aesthetic and other generally accepted standards;
  • advises the client on tours and tourist services, provides information on special conditions in the country of destination, as well as the rights and obligations of the client;
  • determines the client’s travel needs;
  • sells travel services to customers;
  • arranges sales and prepares travel documents;
  • at the request of the client, plans the relevant changes and organizes their implementation.

3. Customer support service (28 acad. hours)

3.1. Professional methods of customer service

4. Preparation of a package of tourist services (16 acad. hours)

4.1. Collection of information about the desired tour or tour service from the client. Search for suitable providers of transport, accommodation, and other related services.
4.2. Collection of proposals from suppliers, creation of a database. Selection of services for the package of services in accordance with the wishes of the client. Negotiations with the service provider. Mediation
4.3. Preparation of a proposal for a tourist trip. Customer segments. Travel packages for different customer segments.

5. Organization of sales (24 acad. hours)

5.1. Booking and sale of various goods/services (accommodation, transport, excursion program and other services)
5.2. Transmission to the customer of important information, accompanying the tourist service.

5.4. Maintenance of sales records. Archive of documentation, related to the sale
5.5. Collection, transmission and updating of information about tours

6. Organization of office work (24 acad. hours)

6.1. Organization and maintenance of the workplace of the tour consultant
6.2. Execution of voyage documents. Making changes to the tour package. Reasons and conditions for cancellation of the tour (due to the fault of the tour operator, in agreement with the client, etc.). Circumstances of force majeure and liability of the tour operator
6.3. Billing. The procedure for issuing invoices, accepting various methods and types of payment for the tour. Control of payment receipt. Responsibility for the correctness of operations with cash and payment cards.
6.4. Creation and maintenance of the client base. Customer Profile.
6.5. Development of the sales process. Collecting feedback on products and services and systematizing information on goods. Analysis of the information received and its use in order to improve the sales process and work results.
