Teaching methodology

The training consists of lectures that are held online in ZOOM. For the demonstration of the practical work are used video materials.

Description of the learning environment

Training is conducted online via ZOOM.

Conditions of graduation

The course is considered as completed, after the student has passed all the subjects prescribed in the curriculum, in the amount provided by the curriculum. The exam is conducted in the form of an examination test according to the course program. The exam is counted as passed if the student has completed at least 60% of all tasks of the test. At the end of the course, the student receives a certificate of completion or certificate of attendance of the course.

Documents the student receives

A certificate of completion of the course is issued if the student has attended at least 70% of the classes, completed at least 70% of the homework and independent work and/or passed the course exam. If a student attended less than 70% of classes, completed less than 70% of homework and/or did not pass the course exam, then upon completion of the course he will be issued a certificate of attendance of the course.

The certificate of completion of the course contains the student’s personal data and school data, learning outcomes (knowledge and practical skills that the student has acquired as a result of the training), the scope of the curriculum, the period of study, a list of teachers.

Both certificates are issued in English.

Educational materials

Each student receives learning materials in PDF Format. The student receives the learning materials after paying for the tuition and crediting the payment to the current account of the education centre. After receiving the payment, the education centre provides the student with access to the personal account. The student’s learning materials are located in the personal account. Video materials are sent in the appropriate video format. The cost of training materials is included in the course price.

Levels of proficiency

The description of the levels of proficiency in a foreign language is based on the Document of the Council of Europe named “Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment”.

 

A Basic User
A1 Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.
A2 Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g., very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.


B Independent User
B1 Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. Can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes, and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
B2 Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.


C Proficient User
C1 Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meaning. Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic, and professional purposes. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors, and cohesive devices.

– understands the main meaning of clear messages made in literary language on various topics, describing typical situations at work, study, leisure, etc.;
– is able to communicate in standard situations that may arise during their stay in the country of the language being studied;
– can compose a report on well-known or particularly interesting topics;
– is able to describe impressions, events, hopes, aspirations, express and explain one’s opinion and plans for the future.

Swedish Language Course Category B2

At the end of the B2 Swedish course, the student has the following knowledge:

– understands the general content of complex texts on abstract and specific topics, including specialized texts;
– speaks quite quickly, communicates fluently with native speakers;
– forms clear statements and sufficiently detailed messages on various topics, can formulate one’s opinion on the topic of conversation, describe the advantages and disadvantages of different opinions.

Speaking

At the end of the course, the student is able to express gratitude, request, and greeting. The student is able to greet the interlocutor, ask simple questions about family, interests, and affairs. The learner is able to answer simple questions about everyday life with unambiguous phrases. The learner understands simple sentences.

Reading

A student who speaks the language at the A1 level reads simple sentences (no more than 8-10 words) based on popular vocabulary.

Writing

The student is able to write brief information about himself, his friends, relatives.

A2

Speaking

   
 

The student composes stories using phrases about himself/herself, his/her family, hobbies, and work. The student is able to exchange opinions with the interlocutor using one or more phrases about his/her life. The student formulates an opinion about something, composes questions for the interlocutor, and understands frequently used expressions, words and phrases.

Reading

The student recognizes well-known words and phrases in Swedish (advertisements, newspapers, etc.) and reads short dialogues.

Writing

The student is able to write small greetings, letters, telegrams, postcards, and make a questionnaire about himself/herself.

B1

Speaking

The student is able to describe an experience or situation with supporting examples. A long monologue lasts 2-3 minutes. The student participates in any spontaneous dialogue, including the pronunciation of phrases expressing personal opinions.

Reading

At the end of the course, the student reads any informational printed publication with an understanding of the main idea, even if the text contains up to 10% of unfamiliar words and phrases.

Writing

The student will learn how to write a text with the main idea and a plot of more than 15-20 sentences without the use of a dictionary.

B2

Speaking

The student is able to clearly formulate his own opinion, describe the event in detail, and confirm his opinion with examples. At the end of the course, the student communicates with a native speaker, fully understands his speech, quickly formulates an answer in different situations, perceives relatively long texts by ear in standard Swedish.

Reading

 

The student is able to read and understand works of fiction in Swedish, reads and understands the meaning of scientific articles with 90% comprehension of words, phrases and general meaning.

Writing

The student writes texts on a fairly wide range of topics. Writes essays and articles. The learner is familiar with formal and informal writing styles.

The learner is able to formulate and express his/her opinion in any spontaneous situation using complex grammatical structures and synonyms. The learner communicates with a native speaker, fully understanding his/her speech.
