The course program of Solar Panel Installer Courses is based on the professional standard “Solar Energy Technician” of the European classifier of professions ESCO (European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations)

Teaching methodology

The training consists of lectures that are held online in ZOOM. For the demonstration of the practical work are used video materials.

Educational materials. Solar Panel Installer Courses

Each student receives learning materials in PDF Format. The student receives the learning materials after paying for the tuition and crediting the payment to the current account of the education centre. After receiving the payment, the education centre provides the student with access to the personal account. The student’s learning materials are located in the personal account. Video materials are sent in the appropriate video format. The cost of training materials is included in the course price.

Description of the learning environment

Training is conducted online via ZOOM.

Conditions of graduation

The course is considered as completed, after the student has passed all the subjects prescribed in the curriculum, in the amount provided by the curriculum. The exam is conducted in the form of an examination test according to the course program. The exam is counted as passed if the student has completed at least 60% of all tasks of the test. At the end of the course, the student receives a certificate of completion or certificate of attendance of the course.

Documents the student receives

A certificate of completion of the course is issued if the student has attended at least 70% of the classes, completed at least 70% of the homework and independent work and/or passed the course exam. If a student attended less than 70% of classes, completed less than 70% of homework and/or did not pass the course exam, then upon completion of the course he will be issued a certificate of attendance of the course.

The certificate of completion of the course contains the student’s personal data and school data, learning outcomes (knowledge and practical skills that the student has acquired as a result of the training), the scope of the curriculum, the period of study, a list of teachers.

The certificate of attendance of the course contains the student’s personal data, school data, the number of academic hours of study attended by the student, the period of study, a list of teachers.

Both certificates are issued in English.

As a result of completing the solar panel installer course, the student acquires the necessary knowledge for the installation and maintenance of solar panels in accordance with the requirements of DIRECTIVE 2009/28 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the construction of electrical installations.

To participate in the course, the applicant must have, at a minimum, a certificate of basic school. Professional skills and experience in the field of electrical engineering are also required. Work requires physical endurance, the ability to concentrate, adapt and analyze.

The trainee has the following knowledge and skills: 

– installs solar energy systems in accordance with the project (including the needs of the consumer);
– complies with the requirements of work safety and features of the project;
– installs and maintains panels, as well as other equipment that produces electricity from a renewable energy source – the sun; 
– knows the safety requirements when performing high-rise works on fastening panels and assembling roofing structures; 
– the installer of solar energy systems of the 4th level works under the supervision of a responsible  specialist. Basis: Building Code, Equipment Safety Act.

The course program and training for the solar panel installer course is based on DIRECTIVE 2009/28/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS.

1. Installation works

1.1. Analysis of the project and installation instructions
1.2. Selection of methods of project implementation. Permissible adjustments to the project work
1.3. Preparation of the workplace and selection of tools
1.4. Installation of structures. Instructions, quality and safety requirements.
1.5. Installation of additional equipment and connection. Installation of equipment in accordance with the project.

2. Check and configuration

2.1. Verification of electrical and mechanical connections.
2.2 Configuration of equipment according to the parameters specified in the project, using appropriate programs and tools, including communication and configuration programs.
2.3. Starting and stopping the system using the appropriate circuits to ensure the proper operation of the equipment.

3. Preparation of documentation for installation works

3.1. Preparation of protocols of actions related to installation
3.2. Filling in the installation log
3.3. Fixation and recording in the protocol of changes arising as a result of work, in accordance with the requirements of the documentation.

4. Advising the user or customer on the operation of the system.

5. Maintenance of equipment

5.1. Drawing up a maintenance plan, in accordance with the operating instructions
5.2. Understanding the equipment maintenance procedures based on the maintenance plan and operating instructions.
5.3. Scheduled maintenance of equipment
5.4. Adjustment, cleaning, checking the fastenings of system components
5.5. Preparation of maintenance documentation
5.6. Report on working hours used, route travelled, spare parts used, and deficiencies found.
