General information. Care Worker Courses
Total amount of training: 176 acad. hours, of which classroom and practical work 176 acad. hours

The course program of Care Worker Courses is based on the professional standard “Care Home Worker” of the European classifier of professions ESCO (European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations)
Teaching methodology
The training consists of lectures that are held online in ZOOM. For the demonstration of the practical work are used video materials.
Educational materials. Care Worker Courses
Each student receives learning materials in PDF Format. The student receives the learning materials after paying for the tuition and crediting the payment to the current account of the education centre. After receiving the payment, the education centre provides the student with access to the personal account. The student’s learning materials are located in the personal account. Video materials are sent in the appropriate video format. The cost of training materials is included in the course price.
Description of the learning environment
Training is conducted online via ZOOM.
Conditions of graduation
The course is considered as completed, after the student has passed all the subjects prescribed in the curriculum, in the amount provided by the curriculum. The exam is conducted in the form of an examination test according to the course program. The exam is counted as passed if the student has completed at least 60% of all tasks of the test. At the end of the course, the student receives a certificate of completion or certificate of attendance of the course.
Documents the student receives
A certificate of completion of the course is issued if the student has attended at least 70% of the classes, completed at least 70% of the homework and independent work and/or passed the course exam. If a student attended less than 70% of classes, completed less than 70% of homework and/or did not pass the course exam, then upon completion of the course he will be issued a certificate of attendance of the course.
The certificate of completion of the course contains the student’s personal data and school data, learning outcomes (knowledge and practical skills that the student has acquired as a result of the training), the scope of the curriculum, the period of study, a list of teachers.
The certificate of attendance of the course contains the student’s personal data, school data, the number of academic hours of study attended by the student, the period of study, a list of teachers.
Both certificates are issued in English.
Upon completion of the courses the student has the knowledge and skills necessary to care for the person in need and help in various life situations that the ward cannot cope with himself.
Those wishing to take care worker courses must have at least a basic education. It is desirable (not mandatory) to have experience working in a medical institution in any position, or in the field of social services (care for the sick and elderly). Care worker courses can be taken by persons with a medical education (no work experience, retraining) for the purpose of improving their qualifications. Courses can be taken by employees of a medical institution in order to obtain professional knowledge.
The trainee has the following knowledge and skills:
- has the necessary knowledge and skills to care for a person in need on the basis of an appropriate plan (e.g. rehabilitation plan, care plan, etc.);
- provides qualified support and assistance to the ward in organizing a decent life and achieving the highest possible quality of life;
- assists the ward in the realization of physical, social and psychological needs;
- knows the age characteristics and works with people of different ages and cultural backgrounds who, due to their life situation or for other reasons, need help and care;
- knows the basics of legislation governing human rights;
- knows the basics of professional ethics;
- cooperates and communicates with relatives and other employees of the network.

1. Help in life and care for patients (116 acad. hours)
1.1. Drawing up a plan of measures for the care of the person in need of assistance. Cultural and religious traditions in nutrition and care (8 acad. hours)
1.2. Principles of healthy nutrition, considering the nutritional needs and characteristics of the person in need. Shelf life and hygiene of food products (8 acad. hours)
1.3. Drawing up a plan for the purchase of food products in accordance with the needs and wishes of the person in need of assistance (4 acad. hours)
1.4. Diet of the person in need, considering his condition. Help with food intake. Feeding (12 acad. hours)
1.5. Clothing of the ward, considering the state of health, special needs, weather, room temperature and body temperature. Dressing the ward.
Use of appropriate aids (12 acad. hours). Practical work (8 acad. hours)
1.6. Hygienic procedures. Assistance in carrying out hygienic procedures. Use of appropriate care products. Beauty services (manicure, pedicure, hairdresser) (12 acad. hours). Practical work (8 acad. hours)
1.7. Direction and support of the ward in expressing his sexuality (4 acad. hours)
1.8. Preventive operations according to the instructions (measurement of body temperature, pulse and respiratory rate, blood pressure and blood sugar, bed and skin care, dressings, etc.) (12 acad. hours). Practical work (8 acad. hours)

2. Information about healthy eating, control of food suitability and food hygiene (44 acad. hours)
2.1. Drawing up a cleaning plan. Household and cleaning works. Modern methods and devices for cleaning. The use of household chemicals. Safety requirements and instructions for working with household chemicals (20 acad. hours)
2.2. Motivation of the ward and organization of joint activities. Needs and capabilities of the ward. Personal protective equipment (16 acad. hours)
